Holly Taylor-Fry came to the East Coast from Nebraska in 1989. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Therapeutic Recreation, graduating summa cum lude at Mercy College, Dobbs Ferry NY (2005) and went on to obtain a further level of certification earning the highest level of recognition in the field as a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist in 2005.
Always looking to stay current she has remained actively involved in the Connecticut Association of Therapeutic and Recreation Directors and gained certification as a dementia practitioner in 2012. Using a holistic approach to an individual she uses a variety of engaging interventions to meet the unique needs of the residents through a program of structure and empowerment.
Offering opportunities to participate in cooking, gardening, crafts, aroma therapy, pet therapy and a designate relaxation room, following the concept of Snoezelen.
She spends her free-time with her husband Jon and daughter Hailey and enjoys walks with her Shih Tzu Tessa.
